IMPORTANT FACTS ABOUT DENTAL IMPLANTS.
  • A dental implant is placed in the position of the root of the tooth. Once dental implants are surgically secured in the jawbone it is not visible.
  • Dental implants are made of Titanium and are Lightweight and Biocompatible. Crowns (the parts of teeth seen in the mouth), bridgework or dentures are fabricated on top of it.
  • The scientific and biological concept behind the success of implants is that Titanium has a special property of fusing to bone, called osseointegration (“osseo” – bone; “integration” – fusion or joining with).
  • When teeth are lost or removed the bone that supported those teeth is also lost . Placing dental implants helps stabilizing the bone and preventing its loss
  • Implants not only replaces the lost teeth but also helps maintain the face structure Because it help in preserving the facial bones. It also restores the function of chewing food.
